The popup's main grid downloads the conversation as a file. AI Chat Clipper can write seven document formats, so the result is ready for wherever it's headed next — plus a structured JSON export for developers, described in its own section below.

Output formats — the seven file types AI Chat Clipper can produce: Markdown (.md), HTML (.html), plain text (.txt), Word (.docx), OpenDocument (.odt), PDF (through your browser's print dialog), and a full-page PNG image of the chat. Each suits a different next step — Markdown for notes and wikis, Word or OpenDocument for editing, PDF or PNG for a fixed copy to share, HTML for the web. The PNG is a literal picture of the whole conversation, captured top to bottom and stitched into one tall image.
