Load audio and lyrics

Open the song you want to sync against, and bring in any lyrics you already have. If a same-named .lrc sits next to the audio, you don't even have to open it - see Automatic .lrc loading below.

Supported audio formats - LRC Editor opens and plays MP3, WAV, OGG, Opus, FLAC, M4A and AAC. You sync against the real track, so it plays the file back natively rather than converting it.

Automatic .lrc loading - when you open a music file, a same-named .lrc in the same folder is loaded automatically, bringing back every timestamp you saved earlier. If there's no matching .lrc, open one by hand with Open Lyrics, or start fresh. This is why re-opening a song you've already worked on takes just one step.

Drag and drop - you don't have to use the Open buttons: drag an audio file, an .lrc, or a plain .txt from your file manager and drop it onto the main lyric area (the toolbar and player bar stay clear of the drop zone). LRC Editor routes the file by type - an audio file opens as the track to sync against, an .lrc or .txt opens as lyrics - and pulls in the matching companion automatically, exactly like the Open buttons: a dropped track loads its same-named .lrc, and a dropped .lrc loads its same-named track.

Controls:

• Open music file to sync against - opens an audio file to sync against. Loads a matching .lrc automatically if one is found beside it.
• Open lyrics file (.lrc with timestamps or .txt for plain lyrics) - opens an existing .lrc (with timestamps) or a plain .txt of lyrics.
• New LRC file - clears the current lyrics and metadata to start a new file. Offers to save first if you have unsaved changes.
