The output name

Output name sets what the rendered files are called — the base name shared by the audio and the MIDI. Leave it blank and the app names them automatically from the chords you typed.

The name can also contain tokens that are filled in at render time: {chords} becomes the chord-derived name, and {style}, {bpm} and {loops} become the current values of those settings. A blank field uses the default {chords}-{style}-{bpm}, so a render comes out named something like Am-C-G-Dm-pad-80. Because the tokens are resolved fresh on each render, changing a setting — a new style, a slower tempo — renames the next render instead of overwriting the last one.

There is no output folder to choose: every render is written into the same folder as the seed's own .yams file. So save the seed first — the Render seed button stays disabled until you have (see Save, open and manage seeds) — and the audio and MIDI land right next to it.
